This is very common and effective
way of building a list. What you do is you gather people’s name and email addresses so that you can send them a newsletter
every month. Make sure that you make the newsletter entertaining and informative. Include lots of great tips, free resources,
and other great information. Also, be yourself in the newsletter. This way the people on your list will feel like they actually
know you and you’ll have a great relationship built-up when you want to sell the people something.
Tip #2: Make Your Website Friendly and Easy to Use.
No one
wants to spend any amount of time on a website that looks bad. In fact, people will click away as soon as the page loads.
So make sure your site looks friendly and nice. Use nice colors and a layout that isn’t cluttered looking. Also, make your site very user-friendly. The site should
be easy to navigate so that people can go from one page to another and easily find whatever they need. On your website you
also want to make it very easy for people to sign-up for your newsletter. So be sure to make it as easy and as quick as possibly
can be.
Tip #3: Provide Great Content on Your Website.
You want to provide great content on your site too. This content should be easy to read and informative. Also, make sure you update the content regularly. The great content
will draw people in and get the word spread that you have a useful site and then the constant updating will keep people coming
back. Also, if you have a great site with awesome content, people are much more likely to sign-up for your newsletter
and get on your list. They’ll know that since you have a great website then you must have a great newsletter too.
Tip #4: Write Articles.
Writing articles
is a great way to list build. It’s free and very effective. Plus it automatically establishes you as an expert in your
field. That will cause people to sign-up to your list because they will know it has valuable information for them. At
the end of your article you can direct them to your website or you can send them directly to an opt-in for your newsletter.
Just remember the articles must be well-written and informative. This is your chance to capture a potential customer. So make
the most of it and post articles that will draw a lot of people in.
Tip #5: Participate
in Forums.
There are thousands of forums on the Internet. What you
need to do is find a handful of forums that are well-populated and related to your niche. Most forums allow you to have a
signature that will automatically go under each and every one of your posts. Place a link to your site in your signature.
Just make sure you make solid posts and develop a good reputation so that people will want to join your list. Under no circumstances
